Outreach Ministry

Outreach Ministry

The Outreach Ministry exists to help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone we come into contact with. We desire to see others come to know Jesus in a personal way and see Him transform their lives just as He has transformed ours. We seek to provide spiritual, and educational teaching to our church family to equip them to share the gospel in a number of ways, including teaching Home Bible Studies, Community Prayer Walks, Prison Ministry, and Homeless Ministry to name a few. We want to equip individuals to serve one another; firstly, within our families, then within our churches, and eventually throughout our nation and the world. We aim to:

REACH those in our communities who need to hear the gospel message and endeavor to share God’s love with them.

TEACH the Word of God in order to help all of us live the principles that Jesus taught us while He walked this earth so we can all become more like Him.

DISCIPLE people as Jesus instructed in Matthew 28:19, 20 (NASB) – “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

“Our Jerusalem” Community Prayer Initiative

Acts 1:8b (NASB) “…and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”

What is this initiative about?

We have been called to be witnesses of Jesus Christ as individuals and as a church starting from near to afar off. This evangelistic effort is an avenue to fulfil our mandate as a church to be witnesses in the Toronto community where our church is located.

Where is our “Jerusalem”?

We have created borders around our church and have designated and endeared it as “Our Jerusalem”. Our borders are Wilson street to the north, Keele street to the east, Lawrence road to the south and Weston road to the west. We have divided our community into six sections as shown in the map below and have designated the section of highway 401 that runs through our borders as section 7.

How are we going to accomplish this task?

We have assigned captains over each section to lead in prayer walks to intercede on behalf of every family represented within our borders. The captains have been tasked with understanding the demographics of their sections in order to lead participants in targeted spiritual warfare.

How can you participate?

We are endeavouring to have prayer walks at least once a month. The date and time for each prayer walk will be announced and printed in the church bulletin.
